The Members of Stirling Tenants Assembly Committee

The photographs below represent just some of the current elected Committee.  They represent the areas of Stirling that they reside in, and whereas some areas do not have a tenants group, then some of the individuals are a tenants voice for their area, or an individual interested in housing and related issues

Hugh McClung - Chairperson

Hugh lives in Braehead, Stirling. He has been a volunteer activist for 30+ years and has been involved with tenants groups in that time. As a founder member of the Stirling Tenants Assembly (STA), Hugh has been its chairperson since 2003.

Cathy Traynor 

Cathy lives in the Top of the Town area of Stirling. Cathy has been a member of STA since 2007 and is also on various other local committees.

Mary Rainey - Secretary.

Mary is a founder Member and has been the Secretary since 2003. She lives in the Raploch.  Mary takes part in the Repairs Monitoring Group. Mary also took part in the Tenant Led Inspection team and was co-presenter in the award-winning category of "Best Practice in Tenant Participation".

Moira Robertson - Treasurer and Minute Secretary.

Moira lives in Crianlarich. She is a founder-Member of the Stirling Tenants Assembly and has been its Treasurer for the last two years and its Minute Secretary since its inception.  Moira is a Community Councillor and involved in the Strathfillan Housing Sub-Group which is within the local Community Council.  Moira has represented Strathfillan on the Central Region Network of Tenants Organisations since 2008.

Thomas Alan Brown

Thomas is the representative from Cultenhove Opportunities Programme and is also the Chair of the Hillview Centre Management Committee.  In 2008, Thomas was presented with an award for his steadfastness and committment to his community.  Thomas has been a Committee member of the Stirling Tenants Assembly since 2004.

Michael Griffiths

Michael lives in Cambusbarron.  He is a founder-member and has been a strong voice on the Stirling Tenants Assembly Committee.  Michael is in the Repairs Group and has also been involved in the Tenant Led Inspection Team.

Alex Lamb

Alex lives in Riverside, Stirling.  He is a founder member of the Stirling Tenants Assembly, and is involved in the Tenant Led Inspection Team. Alex is also a member of the Committee for the Central Region Network of Tenants Organisations representing the STA

Philomena McClung

Philomena lives in Braehead and has been a Committee Member since 2006.  She first joined the Stirling Tenants Assembly as an Inspector on the Tenant Led Inspection Team. Philomena led the delegation that won the Award for "Good Practice in Tenant Participation".  More details of this are on the website pages "Tenant Led Inspections"

James Quinn

James hails from Aberfoyle. He is a "Tenants Voice" and is an active participant in the local Community Council. James has been involved with the Stirling Tenants Assembly since 2007.

Richard Waddell - Vice Chairperson

Richard lives in Kippen and has been a Member of the Stirling Tenants Assembly Committee since 2005. 

Maria Balfour

Maria Balfour lives in Raploch and has been a community activist for some time being involved with the Raploch Action newsletter.  Maria has been a committee member since 2011.

Sarah Fraser

Sarah lives in the Cornton and is an activist with the local Cornton Community Group "Steppin Stones". Sarah has been a comittee member since 2010
